Round 3 of the League 2000......

May 5, 2010
Round 3 of the League 2000 saw 70 riders competing. Again fast and furious racing with some very close finishes in the RR's.
Best improvement by 13 secs was Kacey Eyeington.
Round 4 is next Monday May 10th

<u><strong>Round 12</strong></u>

Round 12, the last of this years series, saw 68 riders compete. The winners on the night were Matthew Worton, Daniel Leng, Sam Verril, Sam Green, and Ellie Bielby. TT winner was Adam Martin and skills winner Aaron Preston. The biggest improvement goes to Emily Baxter 17.90 secs.

<u><strong>Round 11</strong></u>

54 riders for round 11 of The League 2000. The winners on the night were, Road Races, Aaron Preston, Daniel Leng, Luca Caldaralo, Roshan Parker-Mian and Bethany Bergstrand. TT and skills winner was Harry Tanfield, and biggest improvement went to Charlotte Bielby. 35 riders also did best rides.

84 riders for<strong> round 9</strong> of the League 2000 equalling our record.. Winners of the RR were Matthew Worton, Aaron Preston, Christain Calgie, Emily Baxter and Kacey Eyeington. TT winner was Harry Tanfield who was also fastest in the skills.
22 riders did PB's with Ellie Bielby knocking 22 secs of f her best. Next round Monday Aug 3rd.


53 riders for <strong>round 10</strong>, numbers down as the school holidays have begun. Again excellant racing was the order for the night with 21 PB's in the time trial. Harry Tanfield knocking 0.81 of a second off his time and a setting a new course record.. Biggest improvement going to Kacey Eyeington with a 25 second beating of her old time.

Road race winners were Taylor Cardus, Aaron Preston, Dan Morton, Kane Povey and Ethan Gorden-Shirley. Josh Teasdale won the Skills and Harry won the TT. with two rounds left all the age groups are still up for grabs. William Brown leads the O16 by 35 pts from Josef George, The U16 is lead by Josh Teasdale with Harry 80 pts behind. The Under 14 has a number of riders still in the running, Keir Parker-Mian leads by 15 pts from Charlie Tanfield with Andrew Howe a futher 20 pts behind and Alex Hopper 30 pts. Matthew Worton leads the U12 by 67 pts from Megan Hopper. Aaron Preston ia a clear leader in the U10 group and Connor Eyeington is a clear leader in the U8's.

66 Riders on a very wet night which had part of the big circuit under water.. Winners of the road races were Matthew Worton, Aaron Presto, Dan Morton, Joe Wilson and Ellie Bielby. TT winner was Harry Tanfield and skills winners were equal Harry and Alex Hopper. Kacey Eyeington knocked a massive 200 seconds of her PB.

Round 7 and another good turn out......

80 riders for round 7 of The League 2000 on a rather warm evening.. 41 riders did personal bests in the time trial with young Katie Lowe knocking 71 seconds off.
Winners of the road races were Harry Tanfield, Peter Dawson, Simon Knapp, Joe Wilson and Katie Lowe. Skills winner was Harry with Keir Parker-Mian and Josh Teasdale in 2nd and 3rd. Harry also won the TT beating Alex Hopper and Adam Martin.
Overall William is leading the O16, Josh Teasdale is 50 points clear of Ashleigh Huntsman and 95 clear of Harry Tanfield in the U16. The U14 sees Alex Hopper 30 points clear of Keir and 60 points clear of Andrew Howe. Matthew Worton leads the U12 ahead of Megan Hopper, whilst Aaron Preston is leading the U10 clear of Danny Ammor. The U8 age group sees Connor Eyeington leading james Shields.

Round 6 and another record turn out......

Round 6 and another record turn out 84 riders. Leaders in the groups are O16 William Brown, U16 Josh Teasdale, U14 Alex Hopper, U12 Matthew Worton (Stockton Whs) U10 Aaron Preston and U8 Conner Eyeington.

The racing on the night was again first class. In the RR Josh Teasdale won the 3 large laps after a brave effort from Katie Howe who was just caught in the last 5m and finished 4th. In the 2 large laps Daniel Leng was 1st, 3 laps Dan Morton, 2 laps Matthew Clark and the one lap race saw Katie Lowe being victorious (complete with stabilisers!) Time trial fastest was Harry Tanfield 68.08 seconds, biggest improvement Luke Honeywell 72 seconds. Skills winners were Alex Hopper and Keir Parker-Mian equal 39 seconds.

120 different riders upto now this year.

Round 5, League 2000

52 riders on a very wet night. No over 16's riders. The race winners were Joseph Jones, Ella Jones, Dan Morton, Daniel Leng andAdam Martin. Biggest improvement in the TT was James Currie (54 secs), Harry Tanfield being the fastest. Keir Parker Mian winning the skills round. 20 riders doing best rides in the TT.

Round one of the 13th series of League 2000 and a record entry of 80 riders and a warm and sunny night aswell. 30 riders doing PB's in the time trial.
The usual riders are massing at the top of the catagories

Round Two saw 57 riders on a very wet and dismal night. Racing was again excellant with a few PB's in the TT despite the conditions. Ellie Bielby being the biggest improvement.

Round Three 65 riders on an overcast night with 4 visitors from Lancashire. Ellie Bielby once again the biggest TT improver.

Round Four saw another record turn out of 83 riders.
The fastest rider in the time trial was Alex Hopper with 70.27 seconds, biggest improver was again Ellie Bielby knocking 37 seconds off.
The skills test was won by Alex Hopper beating Aaron Preston into 2nd. The road race winners were Andrew Howe, Daniel Leng, Martin Leng, Amber Jemson and Aidan Cooper.
