Results from last Mondays (25-06-12)League 2000
74 riders entered for Mondays round
Road race winners were Elliot Davidson, Toby Tanfield, Joe Nozedar,
Lauren Kilcullen and Tim James.
Harry Tanfield won the TT in yet another League 2000 course record
60.90 seconds which is a further .20 of his previous best. Alex Hopper
in 2nd and Jake Dobson 3rd. Bobby Dismore was the biggest improvement
173 seconds with a further 26 doing PB's Harry was also winner of the
skills beating Angus Brown into 2nd with Alex 3rd

71 riders for round 5 of the League 2000 on a cold evening at the cycle circuit. Road Race winners were Jake Dobson, Toby Tanfield, Beth Orchard, Lauren Kilcullen and Faye Croft. Harry Tanfield 1st in both the skills and TT. 10 riders beating their PB's with Phoebe Wilson the biggest improvement by 11.80 secs.

Round 4 of this years League 2000 saw 73 riders enter, however a crash during warm up saw Toby Tanfield retire from the evening.
Harry Tanfield broke the League 2000 TT record on his way to victory. His time of 61.10 was an improvement of .80 secs on his previous best.
Elliot Davidson was first in the skills test and road race winners were Declan Bowler, Martin Leng, Luca Caldaralo, Rachel James and Phoebe Croft. 23 personnel bests were recorded with Daniel Wilson having the biggest improvement of 7.80 secs.

Lynn, Katie Thornton, Rachel James and Faye Croft. Harry was fastest
in the TT with Alex Hopper less than 1 second behind, Harry and Alex
tying in the skills test. Next round May 28th

84 Riders for round 2 of the 2012 League 2000 equalling our record and the a record for the cycling circuit. This despite a cold and foggy night which hampered the judges a little.
Road Race winners were Harry Tanfield who showed a master class in winning his event as did brother Toby. Katie Thornton, Francis Nozedar and Daisy Freer being the other winners. Time trial winner was Harry Tanfield and Elliot Davidson was victor in the skills. Biggest improvement in the TT was Emma Temple, 16 riders beating their previous bests.

79 riders for the 1st round of the 16th series of the League 2000. This included a high number of newcomers to the league.
Road race winners were Aaron Preston, Toby Tanfield, Henry Demoliy, Saffron Shields and Lucy Nicklin. Both Toby and Henry working their way from the scratch groups to win. TT winner was Alex Hopper with a time of 64.30 secs and Elliot Davidson was winner of the skills event.

Final Round 12 cancelled due to highwinds and a tree down on the circuit!!!!

Unfortunately due to high winds and a tree down on the circuit the final round of this seasons League 2000 was cancelled. It has been decided to have 9 counting events from the 11 held and the League tables are attached
Over the 11 rounds 666 rides took place which averages at 60.5 riders (if you can get half a rider) per night 110 riders competed for the trophies. As you can see some very closely contested age groups with the U6 ending up as dead heat. Charlie and Harry Tanfield continuing to win their respective Age Groups. Charlie winning every age group that he has been able to since 2005.

Certificates & 'Cash awards' for "points gained" over the 12 events in the Series.
Trophies & Medals for the first 3 in each age group
Slide Show + Coffee/Tea/Orange juice/Biscuits.
The 'cash awards' are based on the number of points you gained, in your age group
over the series of 12 events. ( See 'League Tables' Points 2001 )
Last year the 'dividend' was 2.4p per point.
i.e. a rider with a total of 1,000 points received a £24.00p cash award, or another
with 500 points = £12.00p cash award.
<strong>If you cannot make it to the Presentation please let me know, or
you will forfeit your cah award.
The 'final positions', in your age group League Tables will be
determined from you <u>'best 10 events'</u>.</strong>

58 riders for the penultimate round of this years series. Road race winners were Alex Hopper, Ben Honeysett, Ross Turner, Paige McLeod and Finlay Davies. Some very close finishes amongst them. The skills test was won by Alex Hopper from Angus Brown and Katie Howe. The TT by Harry Tanfield from Bradley Naughton and Charlie Tanfield. 8 PB's with Hollie Kitson being the biggest improvement by 13 seconds.
Could last years trophy winners please return them next time and somebody left a rucksack behind.
