The penultimate round of this years series saw 67 riders on a lovely calm night. The conditions helped 23 riders to PB’s with Ben Green’s 44 second improvement being the best. Connor Ali’s 69.8 secs being the fastest on the night ahead of Ben White 74.8 and Ben Etherington 76.6.
Kacey Eyeington provided the best time in the skills test with a 33 second round, Joel Hurt’s 36 secs good enough for 2nd with Patrick Killcullen in 3rd place 40 secs.
The 5 lap RR saw Ben Etherington crossing the line in 1st place in a bunch sprint ahead of Ben White with Oliver Gatenby 3rd.
U8 rider Lewis Anderson was 1st in the 4 lap race coming through from scratch clear from Lewis Maynard and Ewan Whiting. The 3rd lap event Daniel Shipton was a clear winner Matthew Best in 2nd and Ethan S-Willis 3rd. 2 laps went to Finley Adamson who saw off the challenge from Kaden Scollay Florence Levell a close 3rd. Luke Shipton, keeping up with his older brother was victorious in the small lap race ahead of newcomer Todd Smith-Notman with Leo Hall 3rd.
Pleased to say that the crash victims in the 4 lap race escaped with cuts, bruises and swollen elbow, nothing broken.
The last round is in two weeks.
