League 2000 Rd 8
Round 8 of this years League 2000 saw the smallest turn out for 2018 with only 79 riders. The weather was alot cooler than previous weeks and there was a bit of a wind. Only 12 riders did PB's in the time trial with Annie Kirton's 10 sec improvement being the biggest. The fastest 3 were Euan Sanderson 73.8, Ben White 74.7, Thomas Godber 78.7.

The skills test went the way of Joel Hurt with a time of 25 secs ahead of Daniel Thompson 28 secs and Kacey Eyeington 29 secs.

There were some tight finishes in the RR starting with the 5 lap which had Ben White edging out Euan Sanderson in 2nd with Ben Etherington 3rd. Owen Massey was the winner of the 4 lap event beating Matthew Downs to the line, Sam Dixon crossing 3rd. The closest finish of the night with only half a bike wheel separating the 1st 3 was in the 3 lap race. the order was William Rowan, Daniel Shipton and Charlie Ward

2 Laps went to Harvey Simpson who was clear of Ethan S-Willis in 2nd with Rebecca Mayes 3rd. The small laps race was also a clear victory for Leo Hall with Felix Levell finishing 2nd and Claudia Davies 3rd

Two thirds of the way through this seasons league we have had an average of 91.5 riders per night with a total of 732 different rides.

Couple of notes. Can parents please try and ensure their children ride in a straight line at all times and at the finish of the RR's don't make sudden turns as faster riders may be coming up behind, and hope Lewis Dolan is soon back on his bike following his high speed crash at Otley.
